More Exterior Pictures

Since we can't get back inside right now (no keys yet) we are forced to take pictures of the outside of the house and make lists of what needs done. This collection of pictures was taken this week and shows some  more of things that need work.

It seems that these bugs have decided to make a small portion of the yard home. They are box elders from what I can tell and based on what I've read they can be pests but are easy to kill.

Ryan's parents got a little carried away when they came up to take measurements and look at the house this past weekend. They started ripping out the weeds along the fence line and it appears that there are no large holes....that's good considering the dogs will be spending a lot of time in the yard while we work inside. Side note: Need to get those oil stains off the carport.

The front porch is in desperate need of repair as I have said before. That's among one of our first projects since there is no way we can move stuff in through the back door. I'd hate to fall through and break my leg....I'd really hate for Ryan to break his leg considering my insurance at work doesn't cover my spouse (just me). Sorry, a bit annoyed...just found out that Part Time employees are not eligible for benefits for their spouse. Stupid!

Up close and personal with the porch. Yikes! An accident waiting to happen indeed.

This appears to the be only window we will have to replace right away. All the others look fairly new which is a good sign. This one is not only blocked by the bush, but has moisture between the panes giving it that frosted look.

See that room there in the back kind of sticking out? That's the fishy bathroom. I'm also a bit concerned that the bathroom appears to be in the neighbor's yard partly....or is their fence in our yard? Tree stumps have to go too. I'm clumsy so I would probably trip over them hundreds of times.

All that stuff in the yard used to be along that fence line. See? Progress already!

Here's another of the back yard taken from the other side. It's got a nice size lot given that it's in town and not out in the county as they say around here.

This shed sits in the back corner of the property. It's 12x12 and from what we can tell has electric. Perfect place to store furniture while we work on the inside....maybe.

This is the back of the house.  The bathroom is on the far left with the kitchen in the middle. The bedroom is on the right. Notice the back door is pretty much just a piece of plywood...needless to say that's project number one.
